گزارشگر ویژه حقوق بشر سازمان ملل در ایران
برقراری آرامش و ثبات در خاورمیانه و جهان که زیربنای توسعه صلح جهانی است درگرو پشتکار و تلاش راستین افرادی است که با همه توان خود در این راه کوشیده و با دشواری ها رنج های فراوان در مسیر دستیابی به حقوق بشر دست از تلاش و کوشش بر نمی دارند.
به رغم همه برخوردهای ناشایست حکومت جمهوری اسلامی نسبت به تلاش هایتان برای احقاق حقوق نقض شده شهروندان ایرانی، همچنان با استقامت به راه خود ادامه می دهید و این نقش سخت اما مقدس را دوباره بر دوش گرفتید.
هرچند که جمهوری اسلامی از سفر شما به ایران هراس دارد. گزارش هایی که نمایانگر جنایات این رژیم برعلیه شهروندان خود می باشد را آبکی می خواند و نماینده رسمی دولت اعتدالش شما را گزارشگر تحمیلی می نامد. ولی برهمگان آشکار است که در ایران آزاد، مردم ستمدیده و رنجدیده ایران از همه تلاش های بی درنگ شما برای احقاق حقوق سرکوب شده یشان سپاسداری برازنده خواهند کرد.
به نام شورای ملی ایران، انتخاب شایسته دوباره شما در مقام گزارشگر ویژه حقوق بشر سازمان ملل در ایران برای ششمین سال متوالی را به ملت بزرگ ایران و جنابعالی شادباش می گویم. این سپاس نامه به مناسبت ارج گذاری تلاش هایتان برای اهداف والای حقوق بشر در ایران که زیربنای تامین صلح جهانی است، ارسال می شود.

Your Excellency,
Peace and stability in the Middle East, the foundation for the expansion of global reconciliation and harmony, depend on the perseverance and efforts of individuals who refuse to surrender in their struggle for human rights despite the enormity of challenges and suffering.
Notwithstanding the confrontational approach of the theocratic regime in Iran towards your valiant efforts to restore denied human rights, Your Excellency has persistently persevered and carried the heavy responsibility towards fulfilling a difficult and yet sacred mission.
While the theocratic regime is afraid of your visit to Iran, it dismisses the validity of your reports on crimes committed against my compatriots. Your distinguished efforts are well recognized and appreciated by Iranians, who live under oppression with their basic human rights denied.
On behalf of the Iran National Council, I congratulate you on your reappointment as the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran for the sixth consecutive year. I, herewith, present you with this letter of appreciation on behalf of my fellow compatriots and as a token of our gratitude for your ceaseless and noble efforts to build the foundation of human rights in Iran.
