موضوع: کمپین بین المللی برای درخواست آزادی فوری آتنا فرقدانی از زندان
عالیجناب،
به همراه بسیاری از دیگر هموطنانم، از جامعه جهانی می خواهیم تا برای آزادی فوری بانو آتنا فرقدانی از زندان ، اقدام های لازم را انجام دهند.
آتنا فرقدانی، کنشگر شناخته شده حقوق کودکان و حقوق مدنی ایران است. آتنا فرقدانی، به دلیل ادامه به اعتصاب غذا در مقابل شرایط سخت زندان ها و اوضاع نابسامان کشورمان، دچار ایست قلبی شده و ما به شدت نگران سلامتی و حال وخیم و ی هستیم .
آتنا شجاعانه به اعتراض سیاسی خود ادامه می دهد، تا توجه جامعه جهانی را به وضعیت نا به هنجار زندانیان سیاسی، جلب کند . ما اقدام شجاعانه او را در به چالش کشیدن رژیم مذهبی ایران برای قبول وجود زندانیان سیاسی، ستایش می کنیم.
ما از جامعه جهانی می خواهیم که در تلاش برای دستیابی به آزادی سریع و بدون قید و شرط آتنا فرقدانی ، به ما بپیوندند. در حالی که به هشتم مارس، روز جهانی زن نزدیک می شویم، و زنان ایران همچنان در زیر سخت ترین فشارها در سی و پنج سال گذشته بودند . رژیم جمهوری اسلامی از زمان شکل گیری، با دختران و مادران و خواهران ما به شکلی تحقیر آمیز برخورد کرده است.
بانوان ایرانی بسیاری از حقوق انسانی خود را که به زحمت به دست اورده بودند، با اجرای قوانین اسلامی بعد از سال ۱۹۷۹ از دست داده اند، و با این وجود، زنان ایرانی هیچگاه صف اول مبارزه های مدنی و خشونت-پرهیز، علیه رژیم اسلامی را رها نکرده اند.
امروزه، در حالی که اعتلای حقوق زنان، همچنان یکی از مشکلات اساسی برای دست یابی به مفاد اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر است، خانم فرقدانی و زنان بی شمار دیگری، سمبل مقاومت هستند.
در روز جهانی زن، ما از همرزمان قهرمان خود یاد می کنیم که در این سی و پنج ساله، جان خود را در راه مبارزه از دست داده اند، و از همگان در جامعه جهانی می خواهیم که به حمایت از تلاش های بین المللی، برای آزادی زندانیان سیاسی در ایران بپیوندند.
با اعتقاد به سکولاریسم، احترام به حقوق بشر و دمکراسی، شورای ملی ایران به شدت نقض حقوق بشر را به نام دین ، نکوهش می کند.
خواسته و افق دیدگاه ما، ایران گیتی گرا و سکولار است که در آن و بر اساس اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر سازمان ملل، زنان و مردان طبق قانون برابر هستند، و هیچ تبعیضی وجود نخواهد داشت.
من صمیمانه از توجه شما قدردانی می کنم، و مایلم آمادگی خود را برای هر گونه همکاری در این مورد اضطراری، اعلام دارم.

Re: International Campaign to Demand the Immediate Release of Atena Farghadani from Prison in Iran
Your Excellency,
My compatriots and I appeal to the international community to demand the immediate release of Atena Faghadani, a prominent children’s and civil rights activist, from Iranian Prison. We are extremely concerned about Ms. Faghadani’s serious health conditions, as she has recently suffered a heart attack during her hunger strike. Herewith, she has engaged in a courageous act of political protest to draw worldwide attention to the plight of political prisoners in Iran. We salute her bravery in provoking the theocratic regime in Iran to admit the presence of prisoners of conscience. We urge the international community to join our cause in securing the unconditional and immediate release of all prisoners of conscience, including Ms. Faghadani.
As we approach International Women’s Day (March 8th), Iranian women continue to bear insufferable conditions imposed by the theocratic regime in Iran over thirty six years ago. Since its inception, the Islamic Republic has treated our mothers, daughters, and sisters with disrespect and animosity. Iranian women have lost their hard earned rights and legal status as equal citizens with the introduction and enforcement of the Islamic laws immediately after 1979. Nevertheless, Iranian women have never shied away from leading the non-violent civil disobedience movement against the Islamic Republic and its fundamentalist interpretation of Islam. Today, Ms. Faghadani and countless numbers of Iranian women are symbols of resistance, as women’s rights remains at the heart of our shared struggle for human rights through gender equality and the realization of human dignity.
On International Women’s Day, we remember our fellow compatriots whose precious lives were lost in the past three and a half decades, and call upon the international community to support and endorse ongoing humanitarian efforts leading to the release of all prisoners of conscience. With our belief in secularism, respect for human rights and democracy, the Iran National Council strongly condemns ongoing human rights violations in the name of religion. Our vision is one of a free secular Iran where men and women can enjoy equal rights under the law, free of discrimination, in accordance with the principles of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
